The American Academy of Dermatology states that just 2 minutes of direct or indirect sun light causes premature aging, brown spots, and skin damage. This product was formulated by a physician and a compound pharmacist and has been tested and proven safe in double blind clinical trials for anyone over the age of 12 with brown spots, dark shading, sun damage, acne discoloration scars, pregnancy mask & hyper-pigmentation. The sun causes discoloration of the skin, even when the discolorations are from hormones, medications, & pregnancy. Wearing a sun screen of at least SPF 15 daily can keep discolorations from becoming larger and darker. You MUST protect your newly lightened skin from becoming hyperpigmented again. An exfoliant is absolutely necessary during the lightening process (we recommend Aubrey Nicole Microdermabrasion Peel) because dead skin cells "block" the lightening product from penetrating your skin and skin care products cannot penetrate through dead skin cells. Sun exposure and tanning without at least SPF 15 protection is never recommended.
